“When I first arrived in the UK in 1979 the BBC camera crews were on strike.
As the Old Grey Whistle Test couldn’t broadcast live they filled the void by creating their own music videos using clips from old movies and other shows available to them. It added a fresh perspective to the music that caught my imagination.
Creating videos is always an enjoyable challenge. The videos I create are intended to be nothing more than ‘eye’ candy for those who like their music ‘visual’.”

Again

This song began with a thought about reincarnation and then morphed into a reflection on the circularity of everything around us. Once I understood that reality is a wheel on a wagon laden with our own expectations of the ground we are endlessly rolling through…. I came to appreciate what a genius Eeyore was.

Won't You Say My Name?

The inspiration for this song was the events shaking America in the spring and summer of 2020: Kenosha riots, the murder of George Floyd, Black Lives Matter movement, etc.. When the situation reached the stage where some were even refusing to utter the names of their adversaries, the words emerged with relative ease.

Don't Give Up

This song is about as autobiographical as it gets.
The song was written and recorded in 2014 following a particularly turbulent and challenging period in life. That said, the words encapsulate an inner optimism that – no matter what – something  will happen!

The Green Man Cometh

This is the eponymous track from the first release b.e_cooling did with A.N. “Woody” Woodward. It was also the final song Brian performed at Glastonbury Festival 2008 when he invited Woody to join him on the cajon.
From that performance, Woody and Brian continued for the next four years performing and recording together.

Genre: Blues-Rock

It Don't Matter

I wrote “It Don’t Matter” when I was reading a biography of Jimi Hendrix which I got for Christmas one year. I’m not sure why I told you that but, let’s face it, it doesn’t really matter. Ultimately, it’s a song about the things that really do matter in life but you’ll have to determine what they are for yourself.

More importantly, I would play this regularly at open mics and it was the song which impressed those that booked me to play at Glastonbury. It’s quite a dynamic song and I particularly like the guitar solo which was performed by Woody’s friend, Jim, and digitally manipulated by Woody.

Tempo: 94 bpm
